Welcome to the Jeju International Brass Competition 2019! Please read the following competition details to ensure that you prepare yourself thoroughly for the competition. □ Competition Schedule ￭ Rehearsal: AUGUST 7, 2019 13:00 - AUGUST 8, 2019: Rehearsal & Opening Concert ※ Please note that each category has separate rehearsal schedule. (See Appendix 1) ￭ 1st Round: AUGUST 09, 2019 / Trumpet & Trombone AUGUST 10, 2019 / Horn & Brass Quintet ￭ 2nd Round: AUGUST 11, 2019 / Trumpet & Trombone AUGUST 12, 2019 / Horn & Brass Quintet ￭ Final Round: AUGUST 13, 2019 / Trumpet & Trombone AUGUST 14, 2019 / Horn & Brass Quintet ￭ Street Parade & Celebration Concert: AUGUST 15, 2019 ￭ Awards ceremony & Winners' Concert: AUGUST 16, 2019 □ Registration & Accommodation ￭ Venue: To be determined ￭ Registration: AUGUST 7, 2019 ※ Make sure you register before the rehearsal begins in order to arrange practice time with accompanists in a meeting. ￭ Accommodation: AUGUST 7, 2019 – AUGUST 17, 2019 (Check out by 13:00) - Fee: KRW 250,000 ※ Breakfast included (AUGUST 8 - AUGUST 17) ※ International contestants must show proof of residence for complimentary accommodation. (e.g. flight ticket, student ID, etc.) ※ Additional nights: KRW 40,000 per night will be charged before/after the pre-arranged period. ※ Refund rules: JBIC permits refund on cancellation of unused accommodation after deduction of cancellation charges. - A full refund on cancellation 15 days prior to check in 7 AUGUST. - 70% refund on cancellation 14 days prior to check in 7 AUGUST. - 50% refund on cancellation 7 days prior to check in 7 AUGUST. - No refund after check in. □ Accompanist or other companions ￭ Accompanists will be assigned by the organizing committee and personal accompanists are allowed as well. - If you plan to bring a personal accompanist with you, please enter the accompanist’s personal information in the online application system under ACCOMPANIST section. Update the information in case you decide to bring a personal accompanist after your application is completed. If you are unable to update for any reasons, supply us with the information via email at bandfestival@hanmail.net including the accompanist’s name, gender, nationality, phone, e-mail, arrival and departure date, photo, copy of the passport. - Pay additional KRW 250,000 by 30 JUNE for each personal accompanist or companion who wishes to stay with contestants at the competition’s accommodation facility. ※ Please confirm your personal accompanist and companion status at the end of June, as no changes are allowed from July 1. ※ Enter your companion information under PARTICIPATION INFORMATION` in the online application □ Registrating flight information ￭ Enter your flight information (including your arrival and departure date with the flight number) under the participation information section. Your flight information will be used for assigning your room, preparing your rehearsal schedule, and other purposes related to the competition □ Others ￭ Notices regarding the competition will be posted on the homepage under ‘Apply for Competition-Notice for Competition’. ￭ Checking personal notices : Click on the 'PERSONAL NOTICE' or 'PARTICIPATION INFO' in the online application system ￭ For questions, contact us through 'Q&A' under 'APPLY FOR COMPETITION' on our website. 2019 The 14th Jeju International Brass Competition |
